Chapter Ten
Colton
The drive home is both pleasant and scary. Iâm on a high from the best sex in the world. I donât want to come down. Itâs almost more fulfilling than flying the night skies in my authentic form.
Itâs more than just the sex with Willow. Everything about her is perfect. The way she struts like she owns the concrete. Her furrowing eyebrows when sheâs angry. The way her nipples get hard when sheâs cold. Sheâs smart, sexy, the total package for me.
The fear of this relationship shattering into a thousand pieces is a heavy thought buried deep in my mind. Her past may come barreling forward. Or maybe my past. Iâll enjoy the ride for now. Iâll cross the bridge of destruction when it presents itself.
Our first encounter a few weeks ago was nothing special. You couldnât have paid me to think I would drool over her. But she has me eating out the palms of her hand.
I park my car in the back lot of our compound. I notice a foreign car parked in my spot, which makes me curious about whoâs here. Itâs a shiny red convertible. Not a car anyone in my household would drive. I continue to the back door, entering the kitchen. The smile on my face quickly becomes a grimace. A brunette is sitting at my kitchen table alone. I notice the look of innocence on her face. She is certainly wealthy. Sheâs draped in jewelry. The car parked in my spot belongs to her.
âHello,â I say politely.
âHello,â she says, then looks away from me.
I was going to ask her name, but she didnât offer it. I walk out of the kitchen, looking for my brothers. They can explain who this woman is. She isnât the new housekeeper Mother has been searching for. By the look of her attire and her smooth skin, Iâm sure sheâs cleaned nothing in her life.
I walk up the stairs. Taking a glance in Myles room brings a chuckle. He isnât there and his room is filled with clothes and other garbage. I call out, but there is nothing but silence.
I knock on my parentsâ door. No one answers. Guess Iâll have to ask her who she is. I make my way down the stairs as my phone vibrates. I grab it from my pocket. A text from Willow. I had a great time with several heart emojis. I smile and my heart rate increases. Now I donât care who this chick is, but she could be a crazy person. So Iâll ask.
I enter the kitchen then drop into a seat next to her. I notice her high heel shoes and long legs, but she looks quite young.
âAre you a friend of Myles?â
âNo,â she says, her mask like face never moving. She is expressionless. Her green eyes and long lashes donât even move.
âYou canât be a friend of Brayden.â
âNo, I didnât come to see Brayden either.â She has an accent. Iâm not certain where sheâs from, maybe England.
âIâm here because I was invited by Ms.
